Estimator

Join PCL Construction's Estimating team and help prepare competitive bids for commercial construction projects across Calgary and Alberta. You'll analyze project drawings, quantify materials and labor, solicit subcontractor pricing, and develop comprehensive cost estimates for projects ranging from $10M to $100M+. Working with project managers, engineers, and operations teams, you'll use your construction knowledge and analytical skills to develop accurate estimates that win work and ensure project profitability. This role offers variety, intellectual challenge, and exposure to diverse project types. • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field • 3-5 years of construction estimating experience, preferably in commercial construction • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and costs • Proficiency with estimating software (On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, Excel) • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills • Attention to detail and accuracy • Strong communication skills for working with subcontractors and internal teams • Ability to work under tight deadlines during bid periods • Knowledge of Calgary construction market and subcontractor base is beneficial • Gold Seal Certification (GSC) or working toward it is an asset
