Environmental Health and Safety Specialist

We're looking for a dedicated Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join our team and help maintain our strong safety culture. This role is based in Calgary with regular site visits to our operations across Alberta. You'll develop and implement safety programs, conduct risk assessments, investigate incidents, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. Your work will directly impact the safety of thousands of Suncor employees and contractors. • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field • 2-4 years of experience in EHS roles, preferably in oil and gas or heavy industry • CRSP (Canadian Registered Safety Professional) designation or working toward it • Strong knowledge of Alberta OHS regulations and environmental legislation • Experience conducting risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and incident investigations • Excellent presentation and training delivery skills • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety management software • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence at all organizational levels • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to remote sites
